Simple, yet POWERFUL

Have you tried everything to help you meet your nutrition goals? Accountability coaching may be the one thing you haven’t tried, and it may be just the thing you need to help you succeed.

Studies show that if you consciously set a goal to achieve something, let’s say to lose 15 pounds, or erase gluten from your diet, you have a 10-15% chance of being successful.

Let’s say you go a little further and set a start date of January 1st and plan to lose weight by eating only 1500 calories per day, measured with a nutrition tracking app. By setting a specific start date and planning how you will reach your goal, you now have a 50% chance of succeeding.

When you tell someone that on January 1st, you will begin eating 1500 calories and plan to lose 15 pounds, you increase your odds to 65%.

This is where the road often ends for many of us, but if you take it to the next level, and set an accountability appointment with someone, possibly recruit a coach to weigh you in on a specific day every week or review your food intake, you increase your chances of succeeding to 95%! That is POWERFUL!

Accountability is not only powerful, it is rather simple. Accountability isn’t necessarily about effort or time; you might already have a goal, a plan, and have experience doing the work. Accountability is more about the psychology of forming habits and making failure even more unsatisfying. James Clear states in Atomic Habits:

“Knowing that someone is watching you can be a powerful motivator. You are less likely to procrastinate or give up because there is an immediate cost. If you don’t follow through, perhaps they’ll see you as untrustworthy or lazy. Suddenly, you are not only failing to uphold your promises to yourself but also failing to uphold your promises to others.”

Accountability + Coaching = Accountability Coaching
